The album follows the nightly descent of the sun-god Re into the Duat, where he must cross twelve perilous regions, confront guardian spirits and monstrous serpents, and overcome Apophis, the force of primordial chaos. With the support of loyal souls and powerful gods, Re fights through darkness to rise again at dawn as Khepri — reborn and triumphant.
Beyond this central solar cycle, the album also draws on the Egyptian creation myth and the legend of the Bennu, the phoenix-like herald of renewal whose rising mirrors the eternal return of the sun. These myths expand the conceptual arc and deepen the narrative scope.
